The Evelyn Meador Branch Library is excited for school to start next week! We can’t wait to see and help out our students. To help everyone start the year right, we wanted to let you know about some of our great school resources to help kids succeed this year!
First, the library is a great resource for our students. Apart from our books (which are a great place to start research for school), we offer educational databases and free access computers, as well as quiet areas where students can do their homework. Our librarians and volunteers are happy to help students do their homework when needed as well. We also offer flexible volunteer opportunities for students who need service hours for school.
The library is also a great place for kids to have fun afterschool! We have programs every day from 4:00 to 5:00 PM to allow students get out their energy and enjoy their time at the library. If kids aren’t interested in those, we also offer gaming, crafts, and maker kits that students can do anytime! The Friends of the Library even sell snacks to allow students to eat in the library and enjoy their time here.
